HAI is more than a scientific conference. It is a community of researchers at every stage of their careers — and the Mentoring Sessions are where that community becomes tangible. Short, focused, and direct — exactly how the best conversations happen.
What It Is

The Format

Early-career participants rotate through small-group discussions with HAI Theme Co-Chairs across two mornings. Each conversation is short and focused — centered on career navigation, research strategy, publishing, funding, and transitions between academia and industry.

The Experience

Meet multiple senior investigators in a single session. Ask the questions you wouldn’t ask in a Q&A. Get direct, candid perspectives from people who have navigated the same challenges. Walk away with contacts, clarity, and confidence.

One Expectation

Come ready to engage. The Mentoring Sessions work because participants show up prepared to ask questions and contribute to the conversation. There is no lecture, no slides, no passive attendance — just dialogue. The more you bring, the more you take away.
